This game has a likable characters and good story.

Actually, it's quite the opposite. Prologue (older version of the VN) is the only good part of the story. Anything beyond that is bad messed up writing without consistency (including dialogues) or continuity with the prologue.
This game has almost zero likable characters (dead dream girl and figment of imagination being an exception).
MC post prologue is pathetic and insufferable, beaten wet lap dog with ptsd serving as slave to his bullies (who're for some reason forced as potential Li characters). They're either full ON all the time acting according their hormones or busy shutting down MC as per mood swings.

I think independent of the rework or the writing, the big problem was this AVN going from something really dense/heavy to another College game.

Like yes, after centuries being tortured in hell, what you need when you finally escape is to go to the college.

Another thing, at least for me, I feel dev did try too hard to "forgive" all the characters who left MC behind. And they were not really too close to MC after so long (centuries in hell vs a few years with them). I am surprised than he even remember his family after all.

Honestly good riddance to the game, personally the only good thing about it was the high quality rendering but the dev managed to fuck that up by making it higher for some reason, making everyone regardless of age look like milfs, i don't know what the dev was going for here, Mc acts edgy as fuck, storyline sucked, this should have just been a kinetic novel as your choice don't matter cause the dev just force everything on the player, after being thrown into hell by family and tortured for 100 years, Mc escape, family comes along and suddenly wants to be a happy family like nothing happened, the family member who throws Mc in hell comes along and say it no biggie i had no choice and dev tries to make player forgive her just like that, now they say Mc has to follow some angelic rule and Mc just accepts like a dog blah blah blah and just live a normal happy life blah blah blah, personally if i was thrown into hell by my family and had my wings cut off and tortured for a century, was fated to die but somehow escaped, someone is not about to tell me what to do when i finally escape, Just saying.

If the game comes back then Goodluck to the dev and if it stays abandoned? Good fucking riddance.

I think what matters is the dev's opinion bad reviews are the reason they abandon any game.
The game would be much natural and make sense when the dev can do what his heart desires.

The story was not bad from the first point but while you play and after paying attention you can realise that it gets bad...For 1 a low demon soldier comes to MC and gives him a piece of paper "invitation " to visit the castle on the north side...He went straight there without an escort and without considering that the son of the demon king he killed after years of torture is out for revenge...

Story was good, but dev had received complains about character design changes...and eventually he abandoned it...perhaps he does not have enough time to put on it since he is a student ,or that is what he says on his patreon page
