Ren'Py - Shattered Minds [v0.13] [eXtasy Games]

Much better then I expected.
As a sandbox game it's not for everyone by default. However the quest log is really good at guiding a player.
Additionally, it's one of the rare gems on this site that actually tries to implement some game mechanics. Don't get me wrong it's still a porn game but at least it's something noteworthy.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend the game with caveats that you should like corruption, and that you tolerate sandbox.

The story is that you have powers that let you slowly manipulate people's minds until they become completely obedient to you. I was a bit interested in the story when the government showed up suddenly, but unfortunately that story line didn't go much further in this update.

I mostly downloaded this game because of the pregnancy, but it was quite disappointing. You can have children repeatedly, but there is no dialogue about the characters having children whatsoever, even once their pregnancy is finished. Hopefully that changes in the future.

Once you completely make a girl submit, the content that is left with them is very boring, and very little. As I said before, I wanted to hear the characters talk more about their having children.

Still to be finished at the time of this rating but very promising story lines with the characters. Quite linear game, but not that big of a deal.
Has good music and decent animations for the intimate parts.
Overall very good game.

The most interesting corruption is not of the women but the corruption of the MC himself. Its one of the better male MC / female demon/mind character dynamics I have seen imo.

I will say though, the sex scenes are a bit too vanilla for me and the corruption/moral degeneration are also not cutting it most of the time when compared to other corruption games on this site.

Anyways though, I have played enough that this has unique things going for it and has heart.

Very fun game, with a cool story, nice characters, and lots of content.

This is one of those rare games I get to play and fully enjoy, without feeling the need to skip walls of text (almost non-existent here, which is good) or boring side quests.

In terms of gameplay, this is a sandbox game, meaning you get to play the path you want (within some limitations, as some paths require others to be completed in order to progress). The management stuff is super simple and not time-consuming, also there are skippable mini-games that are somewhat fun but tend to become too repetitive after a while. And the grinding is almost zero if you play all the paths and use a little bit of think-ahead.

The models are ok in terms of aesthetics, with some much better looking than others, but the characterization is superb for all of them. Huge props from me.

The sexy content is pretty vanilla (and maybe uninspired), I hope it will get some spiciness now that the harem mechanic is getting into play, but it's enjoyable as is, mostly thanks to the story build-up.

All in all, this game deserves a 5* rating for me. Absolutely recommended to play, there are lots of hours worth of content already available.

Nice. The beginning is pretty interesting, with lots of things to do! The late game, on the other hand, especially when there's only one girl left to pervert, is extremely empty.
The girls are pretty and varied. However, the sex scenes aren't always great - they're often the same thing.
The baby feature still seems to me very messy.
I'm waiting to see what happens next, and I'd advise you to wait for a future version to get started.

I feel like this game hits a sweetspot where even people that typically don´t enjoy mind control games can get something out of it.

The main story (as of 0.13) is actually pretty interesting and the characters are surprisingly deep. Its not on the level of pink cake, but i do really feel like this game has great potential.

Right now (as of v0.13) it is rather tame, but you should give it a try it if you like corruption, mind control and school settings.

Still, I can't help but think that many of the stuff that I liked in 'Shattered Minds' I've seen done better in other titles. Superheroic high-schooler mind control with a mentor inside your brain was much more interesting in Accidental Mind (text-only HTML game), melodramatic life-stories in Being a Dik, building rapport with a fellow mutant in, say, 'The Null Hypothesis', sissyfication and bulling the bullies in 'Taffy Tales', and so on.

I look forward to each update. I love a mind control game that understands mind control is fundamentally dehumanizing and cruel. Some of the game mechanics are a little tiresome, but the grind is easy enough. Love it.

This game is a 4.5/5 star game, but I can't rate it that way so I'm rounding up.
There are some imperfections that can't be explained away by the game being unfinished and the plot feels a bit cartoonish at times, but overall is still a fairly engaging game. When you boot this game up for the first time, you'd be excused for thinking this is just a ripoff of something like Man of the House, and, well, you'd mostly be correct. Add in a dash of Dreams of Desire and maybe a bit of Corrupted Kingdoms, and you've just about got the recipe for this game, but it does barely manage to carve out its own identity despite being heavily influenced by other works. Most of the writing is passable to good, though there are occasional grammar errors and strange turns of phrase, I suspect the dev might not be a native English speaker but he definitely has beyond just a basic fluency. I particularly enjoy the dynamic between "Ava" and Alex/MC, though I don't like to spoil things in my review I will say she is the most interesting bit of the main story right now by far for me. As for the other girls, they're mostly genre-standard tropes, you have your flirty teachers, bitchy cheerleaders, repressed milfs, and sexually naive college girls ready for new experiences, and they all behave about as you'd expect. I suppose my main gripe that would have me take away .5 stars lies here, as this game really hasn't shown me anything I can't see in many other games. What is presented here is essentially a derivative sandbox harem-collector game, done rather well. In time perhaps the story will develop fully and set this game apart even more, it seems like it is shaping up to be a wild ride. One of the more interesting conflicts in this game involves agents trying to track you down because of your superpower, and this seems like it isn't quite resolved yet, so I'm curious to see where that goes.

This my fist post and review in site. And it is great thing to say that Shattered Mind is one of the best porn game I have ever played. Frankly I must say; dominating, corrupting and rule women, breaking women's mind (espacially with mind control) is my fetish. And I must say; espeacially Elanor's final corruption scene was great example of this. Than let get to the review. I will try to explain game’s good side, positive things with missing sides, contents that need to improvement by articles.
And important warning! This review will have fully big spoiler.
Unfortunately game still has some missing sides. But I believe benefits of being early access state. Firstly I must say Landlord and Rommate was the best girls in this game. But I like every other character too. I even want to see more content about Elanor's friend. So, If we proceed to the review:
1- MC should have more bigger cock. Due to our huge BWC(Big White Cock) slaves and characters should praise our BWC. Our cock could look like MC's cock from Apocalust game and even bigger. I think we should have biggest cock in game-verse. Women should worhsip more to our BWC. I don't like NTR content so I will use this scene just for example; while fucking Kobe's girlfriend she should praise us how we have so much bigger cock than kobe. Also when sex with any girl, all girls should worship and praise our Huge BWC.
2- We should have more activity with our slaves. And we should have special harem contents such as three-four-fivesoms with them. We should make threesome with the characters that we will choose. Threesome sex can be like Landlord and Roommate threesome.
3- We should able to corrupt every female character we see (Like Elanor's friend) and after fully corrupt Elanor and Sarah we see they talk about helping us for expanding our harem. I think it is great way to expand and add all the other character to our harem. Every slave should introduce their friends to us for turning their friend to our mind broken slave. For example; after fully corrupting Elanor, she could bring her friend (that we saw at the final test) to us for turn her mind broken slave too.
4- I think some of the character should be literally miserable and mind broken state before we fully corrupt and turn them into our slave just like happened in the Elanor’s final corruption scene. But it should be fit to their character and the relationship that we have with them. For example; we could put characters like Scarlet, Elanor's friend, Alice, Linda to the mind broken pathetic slave state. But we shouldn’t put characters like our landlord . Because their story is not fit in. But one thing is clear. And that is we should make action to fully dominate, disipline, rule whatever relationship we have with them.

a)The art style, character designs, effects, menu/map design and background:
The art style is pretty good. Also shattering effects that we se through breaking girl’s minds are great. I can even say we need to see more shattering animations through events. Shattering effects are definitely raise the feeling of scene. Menu designs such as mind room’s and phone’s design are great. But the app icons could be more improved. Still, I liked the use of phone as center of menus. İf come to the character design, I have to say; I liked nearly every character’s design except Alice. Landlord, the girl at the gym with yellow and pink hair and Roommate are the best characters design for me. But I must say; we need redhead character as the sexiest character in the game. But I can’t say the same for fonts. Firstly game need better mind control voice fonts. Some words are unreadable thanks to the font. And even though I liked mind control effects I think they can be improve. But there is one thing that I can’t say even one good thing about. And it is backgrounds. Backgrounds look terrible, they don’t fit the artstyle. Because of this art style differences NPC look like pngies that put into the random images. And people on the backgrounds are even more bad than the background. And yes, only real bad things about this game is background.
b) Sex Animations:
Sex animations are good but need improvement. And sex animations leak variety. There should be more sex positions. Animations need more body movements throughout scene. Also after cumming in or on girls we should see that our cum leaks from their pussy or see the movement of cum on their body. And we should see more squirting and cumming from girls. Another sex animation problem is after turning girls mind broken slaves, most of their sex position’s look so similar and less unique. Harem’s mind broken slaves need more unique and special animations for each slave. For example; you could add fetishes to mind broken slave’s character. With this change, you could put unique and spacial animations for every mind broken slave with variety that provided due to mind broken slave’s fetishes.These would definitely great improvement.
6-I think story of this game is pretty good. And I even more like the plot twist. I must say; I relly curious about where that will lead the story. The plot twist a thing that I was waiting due to Ava's actions but stil doesn't look bad. Throughout our journey MC improve his dominant and kinky side. I liked it how his personality changed during story. But I think MC could become even more dominant throughout journey. Every time he use this power he should become more more and more dominant. For example; further in story sometimes MC wil even try to rule Ava. Even she suprised by how we changed. It puts great dynamic with Ava and I think devolopers should increase the dosage of MC's dominant side's. And while MC become more and more dominant due to this increase we could further improve our dynamic with Ava. I think we can even corrupt and dominate to Eva. This could improve story to even better journey. I think we just need to se more content about landlord and roommate.
7- The most importing missing point in the game due to great sexs throughout journey is more kinky, bdsm and maledom content that we should use to dominate, rule our slaves. For example; we can tie them and put vibrators pussy but denail their orgasm until they willing to give up their life for become to our slave. So, shortly I think gane definitely need more maledom, bdsm and kinky content that we can use to dominate, rule our slaves.

I have written this review for developers to see missing points of game and contents that need improvement. I hope I could give ideas to the devolopers for make this game not just great, to make perfect. Because I really liked this game. And want o help with feedback. The game's premise and mechanics have so much promise, but the actual corruption and what you can do with it is very weak and limited. It feels like the dev has played it way to safe with what you can actually do with the girls, and it ends up being very boring and completely vanilla. Real shame because it could have been one of the best corruption games here. Graphics and sound are all fine and the story is ok'ish.

Story - 4/10 Oddly developed story line with concentration mostly on the mind controlling powers the MC has. Although there really isn't anything else when it comes to Family or Friends, although of the plot lines concerning them are very short. So where does it go from there.
There is also a severe lack of any romance or desire in the plot, every part of the story is directed at getting to one point and that is to mind control the women and have sex and once that has happened it proceeds to call them for sex. That is pretty much all this is about, romance and foreplay are out the window in this so there isn't really any emotional connection to the story or the characters. Such a shame.

Grammar - 9/10 A few weird lines in the writing but all in all well done.

Content - 8/10 amount of content in the amount of time that it has been out.

Graphics - 8/10 The character renders are pretty good, not overly beautified and unrealistic.

Animations - 2/10 Here is where it fails, doing the all to common 2 second sex, no foreplay and the camera angles for the sex positions are not very good.
Animations being so very important to any of these story/games, this one does not put any real effort into them. All to common so not a surprise.

All in all a rather boring story line, no spark and a bland way of portraying the sexual experience with each woman.
There certainly is effort being done, but it's to convoluted and concentrates to much on the superpower stuff.

I should open by saying I really dislike harem games. 95% of the time, they are trash, just a thin veneer of poorly written 'story' to excuse a bunch of 3D Daz models banging. Yaaawwwnnn.
But then, every once in awhile, there is a harem game that actually tries. Shattered Minds is one such game. Some highlights:
- Pretty interesting story. Standard issue mind control powers, but executed well.
- Great visual renders, with a diverse cast of body types. Kudos for the chubby computer girl (my fav)
- A sidekick who is fun and adds a lot of humor to the game
- A sandbox that doesn't make me want to gouge out my eyes
- Enough build-up to keep you wanting more
- Semi-realistic storytelling (specifically thinking of the whole mess you get into with the football player and the cheerleader)

All in all, an outstanding VN. I always say, if someone can write a story I enjoy that utilizes a trope I hate, they're a fantastic writer. Cheers, dev.

Renders 5/5 - Honestly some of the best renders I have seen in a VN. Well-animated and incredible detail.

Story 5/5 - Ignoring a few typos here and there, the writing is superb. I fully read most of the scenes, rather than skimming ahead to get to the "good stuff". It also has a great groundwork laid out for it already, and I very much look forward to the final release's story.

Characters 5/5 - Similar to the story, the characters are very well-written. I'm not a total fan of some of their personalities, but the fact that they are all UNIQUE personalities is a huge plus for me. None of the characters feel like carbon copies of each other, and none of them feel lazily made. Sarah and Luna were my personal favorites.

Gameplay 4/5 - It is straightforward and easy to follow, thanks to the Quest menu. I really appreciate the fact that the un-finished content is CLEARLY defined, unlike some other games. In this game, you will know when there's nothing left to do for the current update.
--My one issue with the gameplay is that there's a lot of quests that require you to wait until the weekend. This wouldn't be a problem if it was a very small number, but it felt like roughly 20-30% of the quests required this. It became tedious near the end, but thankfully you can skip days quickly. As long as you focus on one objective at a time, this isn't a huge issue.

Sound 3/5 - The music is alright. Some of it's funny, some of it's fun to listen to. Nothing particularly stood out to me, including a scene with one of the girls playing a guitar.
--My biggest peeve about this game was the girl's moans during the scenes. Every single girl seemed to use the same moaning sound effect, which didn't seem to fit ANY of their appearances. Could definitely use some polish via expanding the vocal library.

Overall 4.4/5 - This is a REALLY good corruption VN with a lot of potential. I look forward to the day I can return to it.

The game has a lot to like, for a pseudo-mind-control style AVN. It hits a lot of the right spots for being harem and incest (if you rename chars). Giving it a 4.0 based on the following:

++ Great models with likable personalities and diverse body types
+ A main character who isn't evil, but who does take advantage of what he has. Makes him likable enough.
+ A good game loop for progressing with all of the love interests
+++ A novel way to submit the LIs into your harem (girlfriend/servant/drone). Takes care of good/neutral/evil styles of corruption.
+ Decent enough animations, and while some are good, others are short. Typically just a "choose your camera angle" and then finish, as opposed to multi-stage sex scenes.
+ A pretty fun story, especially with the twist it tosses in.
++ A good number of locations, and theoretically enough LIs, but most are underused (placeholder) at this point.
+ Music used throughout, and some sounds here and there.

-- Sex scenes aren't quite involved enough to truly satisfy. Speed of sex is sometimes too slow with no option to speed up motions (i.e. 2x video speed)
-- No option with Ava for anything except a hand-job, even at extreme levels of skills or overall mastery.
-- Far too many "Not Yet Included" tags on missions and love interests who don't appear to have content yet. Game is early in development, but it appears all over the place.
---- Not enough kinks. Most sex is handjob, blowjob, or vaginal. There's only one LI who engages in anal with the MC. No watersports, or exhibitionism, or BDSM, or other mid-range kinks.
-- Style of submission doesn't change available sex types or positions. Turning a LI into a servant or drone should enable ANY kind of sex with them (anal, watersports, exhibitionism, etc).
-- Not quite enough choices to keep side LIs (like Kobe's girlfriend who I REALLY wanted to stick around).
- A bit too much emphasis on "huge tits". Mother, sister, and several LIs are stacked with DDD or larger.
--- Climax sequences are all but non-existent. One line of text for one char, and done.
- Font used for corrupting a LI is a little difficult to read.

+/- No group scenes (with a couple of exceptions). Supposedly this is coming in the next update (0.13).

Despite having a good amount of playtime (~12 hours), the game still manages to somehow feel short. It's hard to explain, but the experience left me wanting more, and feeling like it was only 1/4 of the total game. This is probably due to the slight grind the game gives you to do in order to progress.

The entertainment value of the game is there, even if the story isn't that deep. But the 'fapability' factor still seems low due to how sex scenes are animated (short), and how their writing doesn't really pull off things like panting, groaning, etc. (there's almost none of that in the text) Add to that the climaxes are not really even present for both characters, and it's not really satisfying.

I'd still highly recommend the game, and very much look forward to where it's going. The developer appears to have a solid subscriber base and good support, so hopefully they can keep it rolling to the end.

I'd recommend working most on the sex sequences to flesh them out (longer, better writing), and on including far more sex types per submission. Other than that, the non-existent LIs really need to be brought into the game with content.

I haven't even played through the entire release and I can already safely say it's one of the best adult games I've played. It could just be that it ticks all my boxes completely and is practically my dream game, in that it has:

- Male Dom themes
- Pretty decent renders and animation
- Very minimal grind (seriously, save scum blackjack and spam xp training for a bit and you're good for the rest of the game)
- Doesn't make you feel like crap (like many other heavy male dom or mind control games do)
- Decent enough storyline for suspension of disbelief
- Great amount of content for game only development for a year and a half

All in all, just amazing. If you're interested in those themes, you won't be disappointed. I'm already looking forward to more releases and am in for the long run. The ratings don't do this one justice.

One of the best erotic games I've ever played. Very well written. I'm surprised Shattered Minds isn't even more popular. I'm invested in the story and am interested in how it turns out. Would love if we could get real pregnancies with children.
